Hello! We are Team Play, a recruitment agency. Our client is an international concert company and one of the largest cultural agencies in Eastern Europe. Currently it is expanding its projects into the Asian market and looking for an experienced and driven Event Project Manager to launch and lead concert projects in China.
About the Role:
We are seeking a candidate with a Ukrainian cultural and professional background who is currently living and working in China and has a strong understanding of the local market.
In this role, you will lead a new and strategically important direction and take full ownership of the operational cycle of concert events in China - from initial market adaptation to successful event delivery and satisfied audiences. The business model and core strategy will be provided by the company.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a relevant field: concerts, large-scale events, entertainment, or related industries
- Fluency in Chinese for local professional communication and Ukrainian for collaboration with the core team
- Strong understanding of the local Chinese market, with at least 2 years of living and working experience in the country
- Structured, results-oriented mindset with the ability to plan projects and drive them to completion
- Experience working with budgets, project timelines, and basic legal aspects of event management
Key Responsibilities:
- Market analysis and project adaptation: understanding cultural specifics, target audience, competitive landscape, and legal/regulatory requirements to successfully localize projects
- Operational project management: planning, coordination, and control of all stages from concept to event execution
- Vendor sourcing and management: venues, technical teams, marketing agencies, ticketing partners, logistics providers, legal advisors, etc.
- Budgeting and financial control in line with the provided business model and financial targets
- Legal compliance: ensuring full compliance with local regulations, securing permits, licenses, and visas for artists and staff
- Marketing coordination: working with local marketing teams and agencies to adapt and execute effective promotional campaigns
- Risk management: identifying potential risks, developing mitigation plans, and resolving unexpected issues
- Reporting: regular and transparent reporting on project progress, financial performance, and overall effectiveness
